Two-day workshop
Why?
Leaving the familiar structure of a work environment involves lots of transition at both the mental and physical level. All change, even for the better, is stressful because it entails learning new habits. Letting go of responsibility and decision-making can be a relief but losing the sense of engagement that a position of authority entails can be an adjustment. We can feel that part of our identity is missing. We may have to learn to respond differently in a given situation and expect a different response from others too. More energy is required to think through the new situation. By learning how to cope with those changes in a positive way, you can start to enjoy possibly the best years of your life.
Who?
This workshop is designed for men and women approaching retirement or who are already retired.
What?
The workshop is based on the latest research into optimal brain functioning (including neuroplasticity and neurogenesis) boosting mental and physical energy levels, clear thinking, better memory and positive emotions. The material covers the best nutrition, physical exercise, brain relaxation exercises, conflict management techniques and organisational skills for a non-structured environment.
